ACS Company History

ACS, Inc. was founded in 1995 as a typical Value Added Reseller (VAR) focused on networking infrastructure. By the late 90's, they were providing managed solutions to one of the most demanding IT environments: K-12 educational institutions. Certain problems were endemic to this arena and ACS initially addressed them by providing large scale Citrix installations covering entire school districts.

However, this was not a complete answer. In 2005, ACS and GraphOn, Inc. (Go-Global) came to an agreement which allowed ACS to create IDS Links and market the product as a Citrix/ WTS alternative in enterprise level deployments in addition to mission critical small business scenarios. IDS wrote a number of server utilities designed to allow GraphOn's core engine to benefit markets beyond the small business world. Since that time, IDS Links has been used in installments as large as 2000 concurrent users as well as in software deployments around the world making legacy apps fast and secure web enabled applications. Because of the history between the two companies, IDS is able to add in the utilities at no additional cost to resellers or end users. Below is a quick overview of the utilities which IDS offers above and beyond what any other GraphOn partner can offer:

• IDS Setup is a central interface for overall utility control
• IDS Accelerator keeps any one application from taking too many CPU's (i.e., rogue apps)
• IDS Support Manager gives you critical service and process monitoring and allows for dedicated reboots
• IDS Launch creates a wrapper around applications/ creates "executables"
• IDS File Permissions allows you to set permissions from one location
• IDS Application Disable allows you to disable particular apps during upgrades, etc.
• IDS Server Manager allows you to make changes to multiple servers at one time when you are not using GraphOn's relay server (for larger deployments)
